Gabriel ‘SEKURU’ Makamanzi
is a mbira artist and celebrated cultural educator employing his unique prowess to empower global communities to gain a grander appreciation of African culture through mbira music.
He has headlined numerous stages and international festivals worldwide with the likes of Shingai, Thomas Mapfumo, Mbuya Stella Chiweshe and his mentor the late Andy Brown to mention a few. He additionally teaches in schools and organizations in the UK to bring about a deeper understanding of the beauty of African music and some of its fascinating cultures.
